Job Summary
Credit Analyst II at Vault Credit Corp responsible for making credit decisions within authorized limits and preparing detailed credit analyses with recommendations for transactions beyond authorized limits. Performs underwriting analysis of borrowers’ character, creditworthiness, and financial condition; provides direction on structure, terms, security, and covenants; conducts financial statement analysis, cash flow modeling, and credit bureau score review; ensures compliance with credit policies; interacts with senior leadership; identifies process improvements; and completes ad hoc requests. Requires strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, and experience in business credit underwriting and risk management.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Business Credit underwriting and risk management in a financial services environment, combined with relevant post-secondary education with an emphasis on business and finance.
- Strong understanding of commercial business structures.
- Familiarity with acceptable financing options and techniques.
- Excellent credit writing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and quantify subtle business risks and key drivers of risk.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and work in a team environment.
- Ability to prioritize and manage workload in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
