Credit Analyst II/Senior

Job Summary

Assess the creditworthiness of potential commercial loan customers by analyzing payment terms, credit limits, and special arrangements. Complete loan applications, credit analyses, and memorandums for submission to loan committees. Generate financial ratios to evaluate liquidity, profitability, and credit histories against industry benchmarks. Monitor credit risk, establish and maintain customer credit files, and review credit histories to recommend payment plans. Coordinate the commercial loan credit approval process, including processing applications and initiating inquiries into customer references. Assist with establishing credit policy and prepare reports detailing risk levels for extending credit. Utilize Microsoft Office Suite, Suntell document imaging, and the Fiserv core banking system daily.

Required Qualifications

  • One or more years of commercial credit analyst (bank) experience
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
  • Versatility and flexibility to work within constantly changing priorities
  • Ability to research and evaluate data to make informed decisions and solve problems
  • Sense of discretion and willingness to maintain strict confidentiality of pertinent and sensitive information
  • Tech savvy
  • Willingness and desire to learn
  • Ability to maintain regular attendance and be punctual
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks without direct supervision

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university
  • One to two years of related experience and/or training
