Job Summary

Analyze client financial performance by comparing it to past results, projections, and industry standards while reviewing statements for covenant compliance. Evaluate credit worthiness, assess risks, and write approval memos for new lending and annual renewals. Build financial models based on historical data and industry forecasts to support loan decision-making. Assist in underwriting, negotiation, and closing of transactions while monitoring operating performance to identify issues. Partner with Credit Officers and Risk teammates to deliver credit solutions and ensure adherence to policies and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ years of relevant experience in commercial and/or corporate credit underwriting related activities
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of financial and accounting concepts, with the ability to apply them in credit or financial analysis
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly summarize financial performance, risks, and recommendations
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, transaction-oriented environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including use for financial analysis, modeling, and data review
  • Strong attention to detail and sound judgment when working within credit policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field
  • Experience supporting credit underwriting, risk rating, or loan approval processes
  • Exposure to financial modeling, cash flow forecasting, covenant testing, or profitability analysis
  • Familiarity with commercial lending products, credit policies, or relevant regulatory requirements
