Job Summary
The Associate Director – Insurance at Fitch Ratings takes charge of a varied portfolio of regulated insurance companies, assuming lead or secondary analyst roles primarily in Property/Casualty or Life Insurance sectors. Responsibilities include monitoring and analyzing company news and financial results for rating implications, conducting management meetings, presenting rating recommendations, and participating in internal rating committees. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree, 5-7 years of relevant experience in the insurance industry, and strong analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel and Word. Previous analytical experience is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in property/casualty or life insurance analysis or in a strategic planning, financial management or actuarial position within the insurance industry
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to shift fluidly between multiple projects as priorities change
- Ability to excel in a team-oriented environment
- Expertise in Excel and Word
