Job Summary
The Credible Messenger role involves providing individualized mentoring and support to at-risk individuals and their families, utilizing a trauma-informed approach. Responsibilities include developing supportive relationships, conducting outreach to engage participants, ensuring service hours align with individual needs, and coordinating with community resources as guided by Individualized Service Plans. Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED, have experience with target communities, demonstrate flexibility in scheduling, and have reliable transportation.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required
- Experience and significant knowledge of the target communities, local resources, and challenges
- Flexible schedule and commitment to engagement with the target population in high-violence neighborhoods
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance coverage
