Job Summary
Credentialing Specialists will provide credentialing services to operate IRS credentialing sites using the GSA scheduling tool to manage credentialing appointments and perform enrollment and issuance of Identification Cards (PIV/Smart IDs, PAC Cards). Responsibilities include viewing and managing daily appointments in time trade scheduling, performing card issuance/activation, rekeying certificates, PIN resets, and completing card inventory with the Credential Inventory Tool (CIT); handling storage/log of cards; contacting employees/contractors to schedule pickup and activation; issuing PAC/Access Cards; returning terminated credentials for destruction; performing Registrar/Activator duties and Card Custodian tasks; mailing SmartID Cards; handling applicant communications regarding credential status; capturing photos and digital signatures; assembling Pocket Commission inserts and other ID Media duties; and performing IRS credentialing functions with potential travel up to 40% to support onsite credentialing. Must complete required online credentialing training, adhere to PIV-II SmartID standards, and travel nationwide as needed. Strong attention to detail, customer service, documentation, and ability to follow federal credentialing standards are required. Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Special notes indicate relocation is not available. Must pass background check and pre-employment drug testing.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, or equivalent
- Experience with or ability to complete USAccess Registrar and Activator training or a comparable credentialing program
- Experience preparing, reviewing, and submitting required reports and documentation in accordance with established procedures
