CREDENTIALING SPECIALIST

Job Summary
Coordinate full-cycle credentialing and recredentialing for all providers, including primary source verification of licensure, education, training, and malpractice history. Prepare audit-ready files for the Credentialing Committee and track license expirations to ensure continuous compliance with HRSA, CMS, and state requirements. Drive timely enrollment and revalidation with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers while administering the NHSC program, including site applications and service obligation tracking. Support FTCA deeming applications and HRSA Operational Site Visit preparation, serving as the liaison between providers, HR, and external agencies. Generate compliance reports for leadership and maintain accurate CAQH profiles.
Required Qualifications
- 2–3 years of credentialing experience in a healthcare setting
- Working knowledge of HRSA, CMS, and FTCA requirements and credentialing regulations
- Familiarity with CAQH, NPI registry, PECOS, and payer enrollment processes
- Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines independently
- Strict confidentiality with provider and organizational information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and credentialing software systems
Desired Qualifications
- FQHC or community health center experience
- NHSC program administration experience
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field
- CPCS or CPMSM certification
