Credentialing Coordinator

Job Summary
Coordinate provider credentialing by tracking applications, keying data into the credentialing program, monitoring information requested from providers, and assisting with preparation of credentials files for review in accordance with NCQA and CMS regulations. Perform primary source verification of provider information in compliance with NCQA and CMS standards. Maintain working knowledge of NCQA and CMS standards. Review and analyze credentialing applications and prepare correspondence requesting additional or missing information. Regularly initiate and engage in discussions with internal and external contacts to obtain or relay information concerning network participation, contract activity, and credentialing activity. Participate in special projects as assigned by Supervisor. Demonstrate proficiency with data entry and Microsoft Office applications; possess strong organizational and prioritization skills, attention to detail, and professional grammar and communication abilities.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent and one (1) year of administrative related experience
- Associates, Bachelors or Masters degree in lieu of experience
