Job Summary
Manage the end-to-end credentialing and re-credentialing process for healthcare providers by verifying licenses, certifications, education, and work history through primary source verification. Maintain accurate provider records in databases and coordinate with medical staff, provider relations, and health plan partners to ensure timely approvals. Monitor expiring credentials to ensure ongoing compliance and prepare applications for submission to hospitals and managed care organizations. Respond to inquiries and resolve discrepancies in provider documentation. This role supports MedPOINT Management, a leading Independent Physician Association dedicated to coordinated patient care across Southern California.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience in medical credentialing, provider enrollment, or a related healthcare administrative role
- Proficiency with credentialing software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle confidential provider information with discretion and professionalism
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-departmental coordination
- Must be located in the Pacific Timezone
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with NCQA, URAC, or JCAHO credentialing standards preferred
