Job Summary
Credentialing Coordinator who supports the CVO’s credentialing workflow for contracted healthcare organizations, manages provider applications and primary source verifications, tracks expirables (licenses, board certifications, DEA/CDS, malpractice insurance), communicates with applicants and internal teams, collects and verifies data, tracks verification fees, assists with billing and data maintenance, and maintains reference tables and standards to ensure compliant credentialing. The role requires familiarity with NCQA/JC/AAAHC credentialing concepts, data integrity, strong customer-service orientation, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. The position is primarily office-based with a hybrid work environment and is located in Nashville, TN (including USA Remote options).
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree preferred. In lieu of education requirement, previous work history and years of experience may be considered.
- 1-3 years job related experience, preferably in a provider credentialing environment, a provider network or medical group.
- General knowledge and understanding of healthcare regulatory agencies NCQA, JC and AAAHC.
- General knowledge of credentialing requirements as related to medical providers.
- General knowledge of the health care industry including hospital settings, physician practices, surgery centers and managed care organizations.
- Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Competent in Microsoft Office, Teams, Word, Excel and Outlook.
