Job Summary
Join a team at Animal Medical Center I-35 as a Credentialed Veterinary Technician, where you will perform duties such as assisting with surgeries, anesthesia monitoring, and providing patient care. Must be a Registered Veterinary Technician in Oklahoma and have at least 3 years of clinical experience. Responsibilities include animal handling, phlebotomy, IV catheter placement, and lab skills. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong communication, organizational abilities, and a passion for animal care.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in Oklahoma, or eligible to transfer/acquire state license within 3 months of hire
- 3 + years of veterinary clinical experience
- Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
- Passion for working with animals and their owners
- Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Skilled in phlebotomy, IV Catheter placement, applying casts, bandages and splints
- Anesthesia monitoring and surgical experience
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
- Dental Experience; scaling, polishing, charting, radiographs
- Laboratory skills including cytology set-up and interpretation
- Diagnostic experience including digital radiology, dental radiology, and ultrasound-guided cystocentesis
Additional Requirements
- Must be willing to work AM shifts for surgeries
