Job Summary
Prepare and review individual federal and state tax returns with accuracy and efficiency. Utilize government resources and professional tools to research and deliver clear, accurate tax guidance in everyday language. Apply company policies and best practices to resolve tax-related inquiries, assist clients with tax planning strategies, and identify opportunities for deductions and credits. Maintain detailed documentation of all client interactions and ensure work complies with legal standards and ethical guidelines. Support clients via video, phone, and chat while staying current with changes in tax laws and regulations. Collaborate with internal teams to improve processes and enhance the client experience.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Active, unrestricted credential: EA (Enrolled Agent), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or other recognized Tax Preparer credentials
- Must hold or be able to obtain any required state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds
- Active PTIN (Preparer Tax Identification Number)
- Recent experience preparing individual 1040 tax returns
- Proficient with tax software and general computer operations
- Must have or be willing to obtain a dedicated, hardwired internet connection
- Must be authorized to work in the country where the job is based
- Must be willing to submit up to a LEVEL II background and/or security investigation with a fingerprint
- Must be willing to submit to drug screening

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
