Job Summary
Assist and deliver patient care duties under provider supervision, including interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, recording chart information, and preparing treatment rooms. Perform examination and treatment procedures as delegated, ensuring cross-trained efficiency for continuous care delivery. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to safety hazards and precautions while managing electronic medical records. Obtain current Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse certification within 15 months of hire.
Required Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification/registration as CCMA, CMA (AAMA), NCMA, RMA (through AMT) or completion of KHMG Medical Assistant Training Program or MA program through an accredited institution of higher learning and successful attainment of certification/registration within 15 months of hire
- Graduate of accredited LPN program (or equivalent) with current Ohio license
- STNAs or CNAs with at least 6 months of direct patient care experience
Desired Qualifications
- 1-year clinical experience in a medical/physician office setting
- Practical knowledge in the following areas: examination process, diagnostic and treatment room procedures, medical equipment and instruments, safety hazards and precautions, confidentiality/discretion
- Experience with use of electronic medical records
