Job Summary
Assist and deliver patient care duties under provider supervision, including interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, and recording information in charts. Prepare treatment rooms for examinations and perform miscellaneous delegated tasks to enhance care efficiency. This role requires current Medical Assistant certification (CCMA, CMA, NCMA, RMA) or completion of an accredited program with certification within 15 months of hire. Candidates must have practical knowledge of examination processes, medical equipment, and electronic medical records. Required Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification/registration as CCMA, CMA (AAMA), NCMA, RMA (through AMT) or completion of KHMG Medical Assistant Training Program or MA program through an accredited institution of higher learning and successful attainment of certification/registration within 15 months of hire
- Graduate of accredited LPN program (or equivalent) with current Ohio license
- STNAs or CNAs with at least 6 months of direct patient care experience
Desired Qualifications
- 1-year clinical experience in a medical/physician office setting
- Practical knowledge in examination process, diagnostic and treatment room procedures, medical equipment and instruments, safety hazards and precautions, confidentiality/discretion
- Experience with use of electronic medical records
