Job Summary
Conduct coding and abstracting services to compile accurate medical information for administrative statistical reports. Apply guidelines for appropriate fiscal reimbursement while complying with Federal Regulatory, Intermediary, PRO, and other reviewing organizational requirements. Perform time-based reporting and modifier application for anesthesia and interventional radiology coding. Utilize knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM/PCS, and HCPCS codes to support accurate documentation. Requires CPC, RHIA, RHIT, or CCS certification; three to five years of coding experience preferred. Full-time employment with a robust benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- Computer data entry
- Credential eligible or equivalent courses in Medical Terminology, Anatomy and Physiology, and Medical Office Practice
- three to five years of experience in ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT/HCPCS coding
- Knowledge of coding rules and guidelines, Coding Clinic, and CPT Assistant
- Deliver outstanding customer service that upholds CarolinaEast's Standards of Excellence
