Job Summary

Ensure practitioners are properly credentialed to comply with legal, professional, and regulatory requirements by managing the credentialing process for Medical Staff and Advanced Practice Provider applicants, including privilege extensions. Collaborate with department directors to verify procedures align with current credentials and actively participate in the Credentials Committee, coordinating materials for committee action and preparing reports for the Medical Executive Committee and Board of Directors. Manage the credentialing database, implement new programs, and oversee the Peer Review process while conducting research on criteria for new procedures to support leadership in developing clinical programs. Maintain confidentiality and support process improvement initiatives related to credentialing and privileging.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Maintains a high degree of confidentiality
  • Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally
  • Exerting a negligible amount of force frequently

Desired Qualifications

  • NAMSS certification
  • 2 years experience in a hospital setting
  • Knowledge of TJC and CMS regulations
