Creative Enterprise Mentor/Conifer Design

Job Summary
Review student designers' work in progress individually, providing clear creative feedback and holding the team to professional standards of craft. Lead regular studio meetings to align the group, distribute tasks, and establish habits for file management, version control, and client presentations. Identify prospective clients, initiate outreach, and participate in early conversations to help position Conifer as an independent professional studio. Review deliverables prior to client release to ensure quality meets the studio's reputation. Track project status, flag capacity issues, and coordinate scheduling with the Founding Director of Creative Enterprises. This role runs independently for 3–7 hours weekly.
Required Qualifications
- Professional experience as a working graphic designer
- Portfolio demonstrating strong craft across identity, print, and/or digital work
- Ability to give clear, generous, and specific creative feedback to emerging designers
- Comfort with client-facing communication, including new business conversations
- Interest in mentorship and in the professional development of early-career creatives
- Familiarity with industry-standard tools and workflows (Adobe Creative Suite)
- Reliability and self-direction
- Prior teaching, critique, or studio leadership experience
