Job Summary
Lead creative strategy to transform complex datasets and analyses into clear, visually engaging, and accessible public-facing products (dashboards, briefs, infographics, and interactive web content). Drive data storytelling and publication design, establish design standards and brand consistency, mentor designers and data visualization specialists, collaborate with analysts and subject-matter experts, and ensure editorial, visual, and accessibility quality across reports and digital content.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Communications, Information Design, Data Visualization, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in creative direction, design leadership, or publication development
- Proficiency with industry-standard tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite)
- Knowledge of best practices in accessibility standards (Section 508, WCAG)
- Experience guiding multidisciplinary teams and managing complex workflows
- Strong portfolio of graphic design work produced within the last 5 years
