Job Summary
Exterior design-focused role translating creative direction into vehicle concepts, producing high-quality sketches, renderings, and 3D models, and collaborating across interior design, sculpting, engineering, and brand teams to influence future GM vehicle platforms. The candidate will develop advanced exterior design concepts from ideation to proposals, interpret direction into design themes, and present work in studio reviews using 2D sketches and 3D models.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Transportation Design, Industrial Design, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of professional experience in automotive exterior design, concept design, or advanced studio environments
- Strong portfolio demonstrating exterior sketching, ideation, and form development expertise
- Proven ability to work independently on assigned design work with moderate supervision
- Strong understanding of design development processes and cross-functional integration
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to translate 2D concepts into 3D models at scale and full size
