Job Summary
Assess, plan, and prioritize individual and group creative arts therapy interventions for assigned patients by integrating information from medical records, families, and interdisciplinary team members. Implement varied and engaging music therapy programs that address psychological, cognitive, physical, and cultural needs while monitoring intervention effectiveness against treatment goals. Collaborate with environmental services to maintain safe, clean spaces and provide consultation and education to families regarding patient conditions and healthcare experiences. Document all services provided and participate in ongoing professional development, team conferences, and in-service education to maintain current clinical practice and certification standards.
Required Qualifications
- Masters degree in Art Therapy, Music Therapy, Drama Therapy or Dance/Movement Therapy
- Certified by appropriate professional organization
- LCAT eligible or permit upon hire with licensure granted within two years
- Creative Arts Therapist Permit
Desired Qualifications
- One year Creative Arts Therapy experience in a healthcare setting
- Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
