Job Summary
Execute end-to-end creative execution by taking briefs from concept to final handoff, including moodboarding, communicating visual direction, and producing polished examples in the design suite. Present work and ideas to internal teams and external clients while driving creative standards through fresh trends and visual styles. Mentor junior design team members and coordinate freelancers, illustrators, photographers, and printers. Maintain strong initiative to manage varying deadlines and budgets while staying organized. This role requires a portfolio demonstrating creativity and experimentation, along with substantial experience using the Adobe Suite and Keynote. Candidates must have a minimum of three years in an Art Direction role and a strong understanding of design principles.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years experience working in a creative Art Direction role at a design studio, creative agency or similar environment
- Substantial experience using Adobe Suite (particularly Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign)
- Ability to present ideas, inspiration and rationale using keynote
- A solid portfolio of work showcasing variety (e.g. social, web and print projects)
- Strong understanding of design principles
- Meticulous eye for typography, composition, and layout
- Experience in creating a vision from scratch and communicating this through moodboards and concepts
- Able to confidently pitch, present, and sell creative concepts to both internal peers and external clients
- Can maintain strong initiative to manage varying deadlines and budgets while staying organised and proactive
