Job Summary
CRE Relationship Manager Sr responsible for managing commercial real estate loan relationships across complexities, originating, negotiating, structuring, pricing, underwriting, and closing loans. Generates direct deal flow from clients and leads a team-wide approach with portfolio managers, credit, and operations to ensure timely onboarding, credit approvals, and transaction processing. Maintains ongoing monitoring of portfolio quality and regulatory compliance, mentors other relationship managers, and collaborates with credit, external counsel, and internal teams to optimize profitability and risk. Requires deep knowledge of commercial lending credit, underwriting and loan structuring, strong analytical and negotiation skills, and the ability to develop a network of prospects to source deals; some travel may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Education level: Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent) in business, finance or related field
- Minimum 10+ years of experience as a Commercial Lending Relationship Manager and/or commercial lending sales
- Some experience in commercial credit may substitute for production experience
- Credit training preferred (recommended)
- Expert knowledge of commercial lending credit, underwriting and loan structuring
- Strong analytical skills for financial and cash flow analyses
- Excellent negotiation, verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with prospecting and sourcing deals through centers of influence
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal/external stakeholders
- Travel may be required
