Job Summary
Originate and develop new commercial real estate lending relationships, building a network of CPAs, attorneys, developers, and investors to structure and negotiate deals. Manage client relationships while growing the pipeline for investor-driven opportunities in industrial, multifamily, hospitality, retail, and commercial construction, with typical deal sizes ranging from $2MM to $15MM. Partner with internal teams to ensure efficient deal movement from origination to close, representing the bank through market networking and community involvement. This production-oriented role targets $30MM to $40MM+ annual production in Northern California markets, offering flexibility for top performers to build their own book of business within a growing, market-facing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Proven commercial real estate lending experience with a focus on originations
- Demonstrated ability to source and close new business
- Established network of referral sources and client relationships
- Strong understanding of credit, structuring, and deal negotiation
- Self-starter mentality with the ability to operate independently in the market
- Knowledge of Northern California markets (Sacramento, Solano County, Bay Area corridors)
- Community or regional bank CRE lenders
- Relationship managers with production history
- Credit union business development officers with commercial lending exposure
