Job Summary
Analyze financial statements, assess borrower creditworthiness, and prepare credit approval packages to support underwriting and structuring of commercial credit relationships. Monitor financial trends, covenant compliance, and borrowing bases to identify potential risks and recommend actions while assisting Relationship Managers in structuring new loan transactions. Act as a mentor to analysts by sharing expertise in financial analysis, credit structuring, and risk assessment. Stay informed on market trends, credit policies, and risk mitigation techniques to strengthen expertise in commercial lending. Consistently adhere to regulatory and compliance policies, complete required trainings, and maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- 5+ years of equivalent experience
- 2+ Years in credit underwriting, portfolio management, or a related field
- Strong financial analysis and risk assessment abilities
- Basic understanding of loan structuring and credit agreements
- Proficiency in financial modeling and credit decision tools
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Strong foundational understanding of financial statements, key ratios, and credit analysis principles
- Ability to assess financial data, identify trends, and evaluate borrower creditworthiness
- Ensures accuracy in financial analysis, credit packages, and risk assessments
- Intermediate Excel skills (financial modeling, pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
