Job Summary
The CRC Float Nurse position involves participating in various clinical research projects, including multi-institutional trials and studies, under the guidance of the Clinical Research Center Manager. Responsibilities include training and caring for research participants across different age groups, evaluating lab results for toxicity or complications, and adhering to GCP nursing standards. Candidates must have a college degree in a relevant field, 2-5 years of nursing experience, and current registered nurse licensure in Illinois. Additional preferred skills include a fundamental understanding of clinical research and patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field
- Knowledge and skills developed through 2-5 years of work experience in a related job discipline
- Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Illinois from the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX)
- BLS certification
Desired Qualifications
- At least two years of experience as a nurse in clinical research coordination/management
- Fundamental working knowledge of clinical research
- Knowledge of patient care fundamentals, including aseptic principles and techniques
- Strong phlebotomy and venous access (IV) skills
