Job Summary
Provides guidance in developing and implementing a strong instructional program to move students from Novice/Apprentice to Proficient/Distinguished levels. Assists with curriculum alignment and mapping; collaborates with teachers across subject areas on skills needed for assessments (e.g., Constructed Response); delivers professional development during team planning and after school; engages staff in intensive data analysis and results planning; develops strategies to monitor and improve instructional programs; models and coaches research-based instructional strategies; ensures district timelines are met; develops tools for monitoring program effectiveness and presents data to the Fayette County Board of Education; communicates in multiple languages at novice proficiency and is willing to learn more. Maintains regular attendance and performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five (5) years of professional teaching experience
- Master’s Degree in Education
- Minimum of two (2) years experience as a successful leader in instruction, curriculum and assessment
- Valid Kentucky Teaching Certificate
- Supervisor of Instruction or Consultant Certificate or eligibility to obtain Consultant Certificate
