Job Summary
Read blueprints and packaging specifications to determine crate dimensions and construction requirements. Build custom wooden crates using hand and power tools, incorporating internal bracing, cushioning, and moisture barriers to protect sensitive equipment. Label crates with handling instructions and destination details while collaborating with production and logistics teams to meet shipping schedules. Maintain inventory of materials and report shortages or defects. Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area. This role combines custom wood fabrication with minor material handling and electronic inventory tracking to ensure engineered thermal solutions reach global clients damage-free.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in crate building or industrial carpentry
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Skilled in using saws, drills, nail guns, and other carpentry tools
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in a warehouse setting
