Crater 2nd Shift

Fabricates wooden crates and boxes using handtools and powered tools to pack machinery, vehicles, and other large or odd-shaped products. Reads blueprints, shipping notices, and specifications to define container sizes, materials, and support braces. Lays out dimensions, saws materials to size, and assembles components with nailing machines, screws, bolts, and glue. Places products in containers, bolts heavy pieces to skids, and wraps items with excelsior, paper, or protective coverings. Wraps tightens metal bands, attaches identification labels, and counts items to ensure compliance with shipping orders. Moves containers and supplies using hand or industrial trucks.
