Job Summary
Construct custom wooden crates, pallets, and packaging structures according to specifications, blueprints, or work orders. Repair damaged crates and pallets to restore structural integrity, then measure, cut, and assemble wood materials using hand and power tools. Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and customer requirements while maintaining a clean, organized work area. Read and interpret basic drawings, dimensions, and instructions; operate equipment such as forklifts to move materials and finished goods. Identify and report material shortages, defects, or equipment issues while following all company safety policies.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift up to 50–75 lbs regularly
- Ability to work in a warehouse or production environment
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately
- Basic math skills (measuring, cutting, fractions)
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in woodworking, construction, manufacturing, or a similar role preferred
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred
