Crane Technician II

Job Summary
Service overhead crane systems and hoists by performing quality installations, preventive maintenance, and emergency breakdown repairs. Conduct OSHA equivalent inspections, document warranty work, and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues with or without engineered drawings. Maintain professional rapport with customers by examining complaints, suggesting improved techniques, and recommending system improvements while documenting all service actions through forms and checklists. Work independently at height in extreme temperatures, utilizing hand tools and meters to ensure safety and timeliness.
Required Qualifications
- 5 or more years troubleshooting cranes and hoist equipment
- Experience with 3-phase motors, VFDs, contactors, and circuits
- Previous overhead crane and scissor lift experience
- Ability to work at height, in extreme temperature and noisy locations
- Ability to lift 50-100lbs
- Perform inspections to OSHA criteria
- Ability to work independently
- Communication skills both internally and externally
- Quality and results driven while maintaining a safety mindset
- Required to use own hand tools and meter
- Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree with concentration in Industrial Electrician, Electro-Mechanical Technology
