Job Summary
Perform inspections on hoists and cranes, diagnose equipment problems, and estimate repair costs. Execute maintenance and troubleshooting on overhead electric cranes, completing required repairs and submitting accurate reports via Cert Tracker or inspection sheets. Maintain inventory paperwork for billing and certification, pick up and deliver products to customers, and assist the sales team with quotes. Conduct periodic cycle counts, perform general labor, and comply with safety procedures while working at customer sites. Some travel and evening/weekend work as required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Millwright or Electrical
- Must hold a valid driver's license and be insurable
- Must safely lift 50 lbs. from floor level to waist level
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Some travel
- possible work evenings and weekends as required
- pass a criminal background check
- drivers abstract and reference checks
Desired Qualifications
- 10,000 hours working on cranes and journeyman is an asset
- Experience performing maintenance & trouble shooting overhead electric cranes considered an asset
- Experience with working at heights, Lifting Gear Inspection, Wire Rope Examiner and ASME/OSHA rigging fundamentals and requirements considered an asset
- Knowledge of electricity and hydraulics, capable of troubleshooting for general maintenance
- Establishes work priorities, ensure deadlines are met and procedures are followed
- Ability to accomplish multiple tasks in a timely and efficient manner
- Communicates with customers in a professional manner
