Job Summary
The Crane & Rigging Superintendent/Certified Lift Director is responsible for supervising and directing crane and rigging operations, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Key responsibilities include managing crane operator qualifications, overseeing inspections, developing lift plans, and coordinating training. The role requires a deep understanding of crane operations, communication methods, and safety regulations such as OSHA and ASME. Candidates must have significant experience in crane and rigging within heavy civil operations, along with required certifications.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role
- 10+ years of experience in the Crane and Rigging trade in major bridge, heavy civil and pile driving operations
- NCCCO, NCCCER or equivalent Certified crane operator
- NCCCO Certified Lift Director for mobile and crawler cranes
- Certified rigger/signal person
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge and Experience with ASME Lift Director requirements and OSHA crane and rigging regulations
- Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft word, spreadsheets, 3D Lift plan software
- Ability to read and interpret crane manufacturers operator manual and load charts
- Experienced in safe use and inspection of rigging hardware
- Excellent communication and problem-solving ability
