Job Summary
Efficiently and safely operate a variety of specialized machinery, including rough terrain cranes, carry decks, crawlers, and mobile cranes, in accordance with established procedures. Inspect ground conditions, overhead obstructions, and equipment performance through daily checks, while maintaining logs of operational activities and minor repairs. Perform routine maintenance, conduct visual and radio communications with ground operators, and respond to instructions clearly. Read technical drawings and materials, maintain records, and work within a team environment. Handle physical demands including lifting up to 65lbs and working in extreme weather. Minimum 3 years experience required with current TWIC card.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years experience working with rough terrain cranes, carry decks, crawlers and mobile cranes
- Current TWIC card
- Successfully pass post offer drug and physical screens
- Background that meets company requirements
- Dependable and reliable with flexibility to work overtime, when necessary
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings, materials or instructions
- Good verbal and written communication skills to understand instructions, applicable safety regulations, and to maintain records
- Must have strong ability work well within a team environment
- Strong depth perception and quick reaction time
- Ability to pick up, lift, carry, and move a minimum of 65lbs
- Visual capabilities to follow hand signals, maintain all logs and operate machinery
- Ability to sit for long periods of time
- Ability to work in a variety of weather including extreme heat and cold
