Job Summary
Review next day job assignments and prepare all necessary rigging and equipment before ending the shift. Complete field tickets documenting chargeable equipment usage and submit payroll books daily, reporting hours by 10:00 a.m. every Monday. When not on assignment, inspect, clean, and perform maintenance on equipment while maintaining the shop, yard, and break room. Program the crane's computer and set up the crane on location safely, ensuring signal persons understand hand signals before lifting loads. Inspect vehicles, fill out inspection reports, and assist in training safe operation techniques. Read load charts to calculate load percentages and perform proper rigging to ensure safe lifting while following all state, federal, and safety policies.
Required Qualifications
- current state issued Commercial Driver License (CDL)
- current crane operating license (NCCCO)
- 3 or more years of operating hydraulic cranes
- ability to operate crane by viewing hand signals
- good verbal and written communication skills
- ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems
