Job Summary
Review next day job assignments and prepare all necessary rigging and equipment before ending the shift. Complete field tickets detailing chargeable equipment usage and submit payroll books by 10:00 a.m. Mondays. When not on assignment, inspect, clean, and perform maintenance on equipment while maintaining shop and yard organization. Program cranes in proper set-up modes, interpret load charts to calculate percentages, and verify signal persons understand hand signals before lifting loads. Assist in training safe crane operation and perform vehicle inspections using owner manuals. Carry and answer communications promptly while adhering to all state, federal, and environmental safety policies.
Required Qualifications
- current state issued Commercial Driver License (CDL)
- current crane operating license (NCCCO)
- 3 or more years of operating hydraulic cranes
- ability to operate crane by viewing hand signals
- good verbal and written communication skills
- ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems
