Job Summary
Ensure safety first during crane operations, including proper load lifting, equipment setup, and signal person verification. Program the crane's computer, calculate load percentages using manuals, and inspect vehicles before operation. At shift end, review job assignments, prepare rigging, and complete Field Tickets and payroll books daily. If not on assignment, inspect, clean, and maintain equipment in the shop and yard. Communicate promptly via phone or pager and assist in training safe crane operation. Adhere to all State, Federal, and environmental policies while maintaining customer focus.
Required Qualifications
- current state issued Commercial Driver License (CDL)
- current crane operating license (NCCCO)
- 3 or more years of operating hydraulic cranes
- ability to operate crane by viewing hand signals
- good verbal and written communication skills
- ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems
