Crane Operator - Night Shift

Job Summary
Perform daily inspections of pendulum control units, wire ropes, and accessory equipment, immediately reporting any deficiencies, unusual noises, or operational difficulties. Identify materials for production by verifying tags and heat numbers, determining weights, and utilizing cranes with appropriate capacity to load, unload, stage, and move raw materials and finished products safely. Assist riggers in securing materials before movement, direct safe operations by warning co-workers prior to overhead crane activity, and support machine operators with setup, part handling, and quality checks. Maintain a clean, organized work area, assist with stock counts, and perform routine equipment cleaning and preventive maintenance. Follow all safety policies, attend training meetings, and participate in pre-employment screening including background checks and drug tests.
Required Qualifications
- Night Shift: 6:00 pm – 5:30 am (Monday-Saturday as required)
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Willingness to learn manufacturing processes and equipment operation
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently on a routine basis
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Full-body mobility, balance, and upper- and lower-body strength
- Manual agility to operate tools safely and effectively
- Adequate visual and auditory acuity
- Criminal background check

Desired Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing, fabrication, warehouse, construction, or industrial experience
- Overhead crane, forklift, or material handling equipment experience
