Job Summary
Assemble, set up, and rig cranes with booms, extensions, and hook blocks for routine to extra-heavy lifts. Interpret load charts to determine net capacity for every machine configuration. Ensure apprentice safety during operations and shut down the machine properly when unattended. Complete accurate hours of service records, safety reports, and perform routine inspections and maintenance. Uphold HSE regulations and assess site conditions affecting crane operation. Maintain Red Seal Certification, Class 1 Driver's License, and local residence in Fort McMurray, Alberta. Submit application for shortlisted candidates only.
Required Qualifications
- Member in good standing with the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 955
- Local residence in Fort McMurray or willingness to relocate to Fort McMurray
- Red Seal Certification
- Class 1 Driver's License
- Experience with crane and heavy machinery operation
- Ability to interpret load charts
- Ability to travel
- First Aid Training /H2S alive / CSO
