Job Summary

Operate cranes to lift, move, or place equipment and materials daily according to schedule and instructions from the project manager. Control lifts using standard operating procedures to ensure effective transportation and site safety. Inspect machines and equipment daily, perform routine maintenance, clean, lubricate, and refill components as required. Assemble tower cranes on-site and manage housekeeping activities to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. Execute daily work instructions from the supervisor while maintaining visual and radio contact with ground operators. Report safety hazards, quality, and production issues to management immediately.

Required Qualifications

  • NCCCO Certified
  • Valid license
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to pass physical
  • Ability to pass DISA drug screen
  • Ability to pass background check
  • Own PPE (Hard hat, steel toe boots, safety glasses, & gloves)
  • Reliable transportation
  • Experience working with lift trucks, overhead cranes and mobile cranes
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination, focus and dedication to following safety protocols
  • Ability to judge spaces correctly & handle many controls at the same time
  • Attention to detail
  • Knowledge of OSHA Regulations, and ANSI Standards in crane operations
  • Proficient in oral and written communication skills
  • Alertness
  • Ability to follow instructions closely
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 LBS
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, squat, or kneel regularly, as well as climb stairs and ladders to complete tasks
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods
  • Handle and manipulate objects on a repetitive basis
  • Ability to see well and distinguish between back up alarms, voices and other normal sounds consistent with construction job sites
  • Excellent physical strength & stamina
  • Ability to work in varying hot and cold environments
  • Ability to work outdoors in harsh weather conditions
  • Ability to work in an environments with exposures to dust, dirt and various other debris, metal and paint fumes, gases
  • Ability to work in an environments with exposures to high, precarious places and outside weather conditions
  • Ability to work in an environments with exposures to loud noise, fumes, and/or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock
  • Driver's License/Identification
  • Social Security Card/Birth Certificate
  • Monday - Friday (Weekends as Needed)
  • 8 - 12 Hour Days (With weather permitting)
