Job Summary
Operate hydraulic cranes, friction cranes, and cherry pickers to move and set materials at commercial or industrial construction sites. Direct machine operation using pedals and levers while selecting appropriate attachments and interpreting load charts. Hoist heavy construction materials and oil and service equipment as needed. Confer with building or project supervisors on job specifications and comply with safety codes. Refill equipment and perform light administration to assist the Project Superintendent. Maintain valid NCCCO or NCCER certification, a Class-A license, and current medical clearance. Full-time hourly schedule with variable days and hours; occasional evening, weekend, or travel may be required.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of industrial field experience as a Class-A Crane Operator
- Must hold valid NCCCO or NCCER Certification
- Must be able to pass all Safety Council related courses
- Must undergo Pre-Employment Screening (physical, drug & alcohol screen, audiogram, fit test if applicable)
- Must hold a valid Driver's License to operate company equipment and/or vehicles
- Must undergo Operator Physical & hold current Medical Card
- Must be able to interpret load charts
- Knowledge of the use of Load Charts
- Knowledge of the use of Slings
- Knowledge of the use of Straps
- Knowledge of the use of Chokers
- Knowledge of the use of Cables
- Knowledge of the use of Shackles
