Job Summary
Conduct daily safety checks, set up the crane, and operate it safely while monitoring stability and load weights. Make minor machinery repairs as needed and communicate any issues or problems to the supervisor immediately. Maintain reports and documentation of necessary information while performing additional assignments. This role requires a Class A CDL, NCCCO certification, and one year of verifiable operating experience. Work involves standing on uneven surfaces, working in confined spaces, and lifting up to 81+ pounds. Schedule includes overtime, overnight, and weekend work. Edwards, Inc. operates one of the largest fleets of road-ready hydraulic cranes in eastern and southern North Carolina.
Required Qualifications
- Class A CDL License
- Clean Driving Record
- NCCCO Certification
- Minimum of one year of verifiable operating experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Commitment to safety
- Continually walk/stand on surfaces which may be even/uneven, stable/unstable, and varying compositions
- Work in awkward spaces and/or positions including confined spaces and climbing
- The ability to routinely lift up to 81+ pounds and push up to 60 pounds
- Excellent hand-eye coordination
- Depth perception
- Peripheral vision
- Must be able to lift 81+ pounds
- Must be able to push 60 pounds
- Must be available for overtime
- Must be available for overnight work
- Must be available for weekend work
- Must pass pre-employment investigations
- Must pass physical functionality evaluations
