Job Summary
Operate an overhead crane to lift, move, position, and reposition loads for warehouse operations including loading and unloading trucks, saws, and other equipment. Perform daily safety checks, obey all safety rules, and ensure material is staged correctly before moving it within the warehouse or to processing equipment. Work with supervisors to streamline workflow, maintain general housekeeping, and complete paperwork. Participate in continuous improvement and monthly safety meetings while communicating with team members to ensure orders are successfully filled.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to safely meet or exceed minimum productivity levels established by the Company
- Ability to effectively plan and organize work activities independent of direct supervision
- Ability to work alone and in a team environment
- Good working knowledge of material and inventory control techniques and procedures
- Ability to maintain ongoing inter-department communications related to routing, safety, and customer relations
