Job Summary
Crane Operator position in Harvey, IL on 2nd shift. Responsible for transporting coils inside the building using cranes from trailers/rail/transfer cars to storage and back to transfer cars, logging coil data, entering coil and location information into computer systems, supplying slitters and mills with steel, loading slitter mandrels, unloading recoil and Bliss Press, rebanding coils, and preparing shipping documents. Requires crane operator experience in industrial manufacturing and ability to pass a post-offer drug screen; overtime may be available. Familiarity with Atkore’s Business System and ability to learn job expectations within 3–6 months is expected.
