Job Summary
Conduct safe and efficient material transfers in the warehouse using cranes, lifting devices, and attachments. Inspect work areas and equipment daily for safe working conditions, while operating banding equipment, packaging materials, and tow motors. Maintain safety and quality consciousness throughout all tasks. Requires 1 year of related field experience, prior forklift operation, and mechanical aptitude. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. This 1st shift role supports Olympic Steel's direct sale of processed metal products and branded items, fostering an inclusive workplace grounded in safety and employee empowerment.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year experience in the related field
- Previous forklift experience
- Mechanically inclined
- Production oriented
- Safety and quality conscious
- Basic math skills
- General knowledge of crane operation and ancillary lifting devices
- Working knowledge of general computer programs
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
