Job Summary
Operate cranes to lift and move materials, machines, or products, including multi-crane lifts, while inspecting crane mechanisms, reading load charts, and following hand signals. Perform routine maintenance, ensure safety and regulatory compliance (OSHA) and adapt to flexible hours including overtime, weekends, and holidays. Requires vigilance in rigging, knowledge of load charts, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a heavy industrial shipyard environment.
Required Qualifications
- Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED
- Must have crane certification for TLL or LBC
- Knowledge of ship terminology and OSHA standards
- Strong knowledge of rigging
- DOT physical and NCCCO certification and physical
