Job Summary
Inspect, maintain, repair, and rebuild mechanical systems and subsystems of all types of cranes, including cab operated, radio controlled, and pendant operated models. Coordinate with management and vendors to analyze equipment design requirements while ensuring compliance with SHEA and applicable codes. Operate test equipment to perform failure analysis and predictive technologies, maintaining overhead work platforms, brake systems, and hoist components. Conduct operational and load tests of cranes and bridges as required by Engineering. Maintain logs, charts, and written records, and prepare reports and schedules. Work onsite at Boeing Commercial Airplanes locations in Washington.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ Years experience using schematics, blueprints, sketches, manuals, technical documents, written information, verbal information, applicable procedures, codes and ordinances
- 2+ Years experience maintaining mechanical cranes and hoists systems including cables, chain sheaves and hooks
- Able to lift up to 35 pounds
- This position is expected to be 100% onsite
- The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options
- This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements
- "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required
- US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee
- This position is for all shifts
Desired Qualifications
- Experience inspecting and maintaining building runway rails and expansion joints
- Preference given to those with 2 years overhead crane experience
- High school graduate or GED preferred
