Crane Field Service Technician/Mechanic

Job Summary
Operate a mobile service vehicle to travel customer locations for in-field repairs on manlifts, including articulating, vertical, and telescopic models. Diagnose hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems to identify and resolve issues while performing preventative maintenance tasks following manufacturer guidelines. Troubleshoot equipment to ensure compliance with OSHA, ANSI, and company policies, then maintain accurate documentation of repair reports, parts orders, and service logs. Keep the service vehicle clean, organized, and stocked with tools and parts, delivering exceptional customer service through professional conduct at job sites. Travel to customer locations with occasional overnight stays and work weekends as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) years of experience diagnosing and repairing manlifts or similar aerial equipment
- Skilled in reading and interpreting hydraulic and electrical schematics
- Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools, hand tools, and specialized repair equipment
- Must provide and maintain a set of hand tools and any special tools required by the company
- Valid driver's license
- CDL
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid DOT medical card
- Ability to work overtime, travel overnight, and work weekends as needed
- Must be able to lift 100 pounds
- Physical ability to squat, twist, turn, bend, stoop, climb, and reach overhead
- Ability to work in extreme heat or cold and wet, damp, dusty, or windy conditions
- Ability to tolerate exposure to typical noises, hazardous materials, and fumes/odors
- Physical ability to perform maintenance on equipment for extended hours
- Ability to adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) policy and maintain individual PPE in a functional condition
