Job Summary
Join Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) as a CNC Machinist where you will program, set up, operate, and inspect CNC mills and lathes while supporting team training and continuous improvement projects. The role requires hands-on experience with CNC machining, including creating CNC programs with CAD/CAM systems and performing preventive maintenance. Applicants must be proficient in reading blueprints and writing CNC programs. A strong drive for skill improvement and problem-solving is essential.
Required Qualifications
- Two years of trade school or equivalent experience
- Four years of machinist experience
- Ability to read and interpret moderate to complex blueprints
- Ability to write and read CNC programs in G&M code
- Ability to create basic CAD/CAM programs
