Job Summary
Part-time/seasonal Packaging Assistant responsible for setting up and breaking down heavy packaging equipment, performing Clean-In-Place procedures, and maintaining the flow of cans to the canning line. Duties include transport and setup/takedown of heavy equipment, setting up and troubleshooting labeler and date coder, conducting quality checks, keeping equipment clean to Iron Heart Canning (IHC) standards, collaborating with technicians and brewery staff, and operating packaging machinery. Requires ability to move heavy pallets and equipment, stand for long shifts (8-12 hours), and learn new functions; craft beverage knowledge is a plus. Starting compensation is $18/hr with benefits such as paid sick time. Pre-employment background screening may be required.
Required Qualifications

- Understanding of mechanics
- Ability to learn other functions while working on the depalletizer

- Pull 150-lb pallets, push 800-lb canning line on wheels, stand 8-12 hours
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to push/pull up to 800 pounds on wheels
- Flexible schedule; long hours and overnight stays common
- Craft beverage knowledge a plus (home brewing/brewery experience)
- MVR check and background screening
