Job Summary

Required Qualifications

• •Must adhere to the requirements of federal registration under the SAFE Act
• •Associates degree
• •2 years sales experience
• •OR in lieu of a degree, A combined minimum of 4 years higher education and/or relevant work experience, including a minimum of 2 years sales experience
• •Must be able to travel extensively
• •Must be able to travel to and work at prospective customers' homes or business locations
• •Must be available for weekend shifts

Desired Qualifications

• •Experience with Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) related activities and functions
• •Knowledge of low-to-moderate income neighborhoods and borrowers
• •Experience marketing and promoting bank mortgage products
• •Experience with agency related products (FHA, VA, etc.)
• •Experience interviewing applicants to collect and analyze information regarding income, assets, debts and credit data
• •Experience independently assessing applicant's credit worthiness
• •Experience issuing pre-qualification statements of borrowers' eligibility
• •Experience determining which products best meet the customer's needs and financial circumstances
• •Experience advising potential borrowers regarding the advantages and disadvantages of different financial products and the most appropriate mortgage loan programs
• •Experience negotiating terms and conditions of loans with mortgagors
• •Experience binding the bank in connection with loan terms
• •Experience ensuring lending compliance with all origination procedures including bank policies and procedures and regulatory requirements
• •Experience advising management on effective compliance strategies and potential modifications to corporate operating policies
• •Experience interacting with various housing agencies and governmental entities focused on CRA initiatives
• •Experience staying informed of industry regulations and governmental requirements as they relate to CRA housing needs
• •Experience meeting with potential customers to ascertain financial needs as they may relate to CRA guidelines, first time homebuyer guidelines and mortgage opportunities
• •Experience representing the bank in the community and related functions to identify, develop and promote additional business
• •Experience presenting seminars to general public and real estate agents to promote additional business and community outreach
• •Experience forging relationships with local housing agencies and groups which specialize in CRA outreach programs
• •Experience establishing and maintaining federal registration requirements outlined in the SAFE Act
• •Experience with external contacts (potential and existing customers, Realtors, etc.) primarily on sales calls outside the office
• •Experience with internal contacts (other Bank personnel)
• •Experience developing new relationships and maintaining existing relationships
